    About this opportunity

     

    The Plant Controller for Transcontinental Shrink & Beverage provides management and financial insight to facility management with an aim to improving decision making and enhancing EBITDA performance. Manages daily financial control activities, plans and assigns work, enforces policy and procedures, participates in team activities.

     

     

     

     

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Reports daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and operational performance
    • Provides facility and BU management advice on actions that could be taken to maximize EBITDA. Also evaluates planned management actions and reports EBITDA impact to facility and BU management.
    • Ensures accuracy in financial reporting and conformance to budgets
    • Ensures inventory accuracy
    • Provides daily work assignments to team members
    • Conducts performance reviews on all team members
    • Enforces all plant policies and procedures
    • Enforces all plant and department safety rules
    • Prepares Daily Dashboard and Weekly Operating Report with commentary on what the reports are indicating about the likely EBITDA result for the month.
    • Maintains the EBITDA forecast for the month based on input from customer service and sales
    • Manages department performance and provide communication to management associates on all levels
    • Ensures the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activity is completed to corporate standards
    • Monitors department performance and ensures barriers are identified and actions assigned

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant work experience
    • 4 year degree in finance, accounting, or economics
