With over 4,000 employees and 28 production facilities worldwide, we specialize in extrusion, lamination, flexographic printing and converting of plastic and paper products.     About this opportunity

    The Printing Manager for Transcontinental Shrink & Beverage has responsibility for managing print manufacturing, plans and assigns work, ensures quality production and maximum efficiencies, enforces policy and procedures, recommends improvements in production methods, participates in team activities. Able to implement process improvement and day to day problem solving for printing lines. The typical staff size is 2 – 4 Technicians and over 20 team members for the Shrink & Beverage Business Unit of



    What you will do

    • Performance goals are communicated and achieved.
    • Assists in process evaluation to help optimize unit productivity.
    • Supports production in developing, documents, creating and improving products and more efficient processes.
    • Evaluates opportunities to improve performance, increase yields, and minimize waste.
    • Identifies and documents capabilities and limitations of processes.
    • Participates in planning and implementing new products.
    • Assumes reasonability for specific production projects from planning to production and release.
    • Researches, analyzes, tests, designs, and supports production projects.
    • Utilizes standardized techniques and processes in production.
    • Ensures that production plans and processes are complaint with relevant regulations.
    • Maintains relevant documentation.
    • Provides work instructions and training to printing department team members.
    • Ensures safety requirements are met.
    • Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relationships with area staff, clients, and management.
    • Keeps management informed of significant problems and of progress attained in reaching established objectives.
    • Assists and supports, Production, Quality, Safety, and Engineering personnel.
    • Supports area staff with day to day operations and troubleshooting.
    • Active participant in Lean Manufacturing.
    • Complete special projects as assigned.
    • Research and development tasks are performed in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
    • Production processes are efficient and make optimal use of resources.
    • Good working relationships exist with co-workers. Concerns are promptly addresses and any problems effectively resolved.
    • Management is appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems. Recommendations for improvements in policies and procedures are provided.
    • Customer production specifications and needs are met.


    • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science (required);
    • Minimum 5+ years of progressive flexographic printing experience
