    This posting is for a Maintenance Technician II position in the TC Transcontinental Packaging (formerly Coveris) facility located in Tifton, GA. This role supports the continuous production, printing, and converting of paper products for industrial and food customers.



    The Maintenance Technician II position is responsible for safe and efficient creation of new equipment or repair to old equipment, utilizing multiple maintenance skills. Duties include reading the maintenance order properly, ensuring all raw materials and tools are available, performing preventive maintenance, and properly storing all tools, waste, and unused materials, and following all quality check requirements/ISO procedures.


    Essential Job Functions:

    1. Mental Ability – The Maintenance II employee must be able to read work orders, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and other types of schematics. They must be able to communicate orally with all employees and supervisors when working in teams or when troubleshooting equipment and keep accurate records. They must be able to read a tape measure accurately and operate a calculator for mathematical computations. They must be able to recognize colors and shapes to ensure maintenance efforts meet work order requirements.
    2. Physical Ability – Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb up steps/ladders in order to troubleshoot/repair the equipment. Must be able to push/pull tool carts and be able to maneuver parts/raw materials to repair machines or build equipment.
    3. Safety – It is essential that all employees work in a safe manner. All Maintenance II employees must ensure guards are in place, follow lock-tag-try & ZES procedures, observe hazards such as nip points, Electrical hazards, Thermal hazards, Chemical hazards, and follow plant and department safety rules.



    1. High School Diploma or GED
    2. Minimum 3 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting, preferred
    3. Job offers are made contingent on passing a pre-employment physical and drug screen



    Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    1. Excellent mechanical comprehension/ability.
    2. Good organizational skills.
    3. Good physical shape for motor controls.
    4. Good hand/eye coordination.
    5. Good housekeeping skills a must.
    6. Must have own tools.
    7. Ensure all materials and tools are properly used and returned to proper storage.
