The role of the Manager, Enterprise Information Management & Analytics is to expand the company’s use of data as a strategic enabler of corporate goals and objectives. The role will achieve this by designing, developing, and implementing data repositories for accessibility by the enterprise and other business applications. This individual will act as the primary advocate of Information management, reporting, and data governance best practices.


Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement short-term tactical solutions to achieve long-term objectives and an overall data management roadmap.
  • Establish processes for governing the identification, collection, and use of corporate metadata; take steps to assure metadata accuracy and validity.
  • Establish methods and procedures for tracking data quality, completeness, redundancy, and improvement.


Operational Management

  • Build, own and support cross functional and extremely high performance scalable ETL systems
  • Consolidate existing varied data platforms into a unified Enterprise Data Warehouse
  • Design, Develop, Implement ETL framework for Enterprise DW system
  • Provide the framework and systems to support master data management and data stewardship initiatives across the organization.
  • Maintain and support the existing data architecture to facilitate reporting.
  • Develop and promote data management methodologies and standards.
  • Oversee the mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics, with the goal of ensuring data quality.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, project managers and business leaders for all projects involving enterprise data.
  • Address data-related problems in regard to systems integration, compatibility, and multiple-platform integration.
  • Act as a leader and advocate of data management and Master Data Governance program.
  • Document the data architecture and environment to maintain a current and accurate view of the larger data picture.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for data reuse, migration, or retirement.
  • Be involved in and responsible for projects, enhancements and support activities from conception through to production deployment, with responsibilities ranging from budget forecasting and strategic planning to working with individuals to insure they deliver on-time


Formal Education & Certification

  • College diploma or university degree in computer science, information systems, or computer engineering.


Knowledge & Experience

  • 10+ years’ work experience as a data or information architect.
  • 7+ years of progressive data warehousing and ETL experience.
  • 5+ years of managing DW and ETL projects.
  • Hands-on experience with data architecting, data mining, data modeling, and business requirements gathering/analysis and reporting.
  • Direct experience in implementing enterprise information management processes, procedures, and decision support.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, theories, principles, and practices.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft tools including Power BI.
  • Strong familiarity with metadata management and associated processes.
  • Hands-on knowledge of enterprise repository tools, data modeling tools, data mapping tools, and data profiling tools.
  • Demonstrated expertise with repository creation, and data and information system life cycle methodologies.
  • Experience with business requirements analysis, entity relationship planning, database design, and reporting structures.
  • Excellent client/user interaction skills to determine requirements.
  • Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards.
  • Experience with data processing flowcharting techniques.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Familiarity with various project management methodologies (waterfall, agile, scrum, etc).
  • Expertise in Tabular and Multidimensional Data Modeling using SSAS.
  • Expertise in ETL using SSIS.
  • Exposure to Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Warehouse, Azure Data Lake and Azure HD Insight.
  • Working knowledge of Big Data technologies, including Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Python.
