There will be up to three  openings in the Maintenance Mechanic Apprenticeship position. The rate of pay is $20.05 - $26.05 per hour.  In order to be considered a qualified applicant, must be physically able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations. 


  • Ability and commitment to complete entire program of 700+ hours education and 8,000 hours OJT.
  • Successful completion of qualification assessments
  • Level II Mechanical Aptitude
  • Demonstrative Mechanical Assessment
  • Accuplacer Course Placement Assessments
  • Pass an in person interview with Department Manager and HR to be assessed on ability to work independently, exercise good judgement and personal interaction with workforce.
  • Possession of appropriate hand tools and instruments of a 1" U.S. Metric measurement.
  • Physical ability to include lifting a maximum of 90 pounds and perform other essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Attendance and work record will be contributing factors in the selection process;
  • Willingness to remain in the Maintenance Machine Repair Classification for five (5) years after receipt of Journeyman Card from US Department of Labor.
